Inspiring the Future

The Norfolk Railway Foundation aims to educate, inspire, and entertain through the preservation and display of historic artifacts, the engineering, operation, and social impact of railways in Norfolk.
- To promote a greater understanding of the scientific and engineering areas of railway development; past, present, and future. Focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), to inspire the next generation to embrace engineering, railway operations.
- To promote understanding of and interest in both the heritage and history of railways in Norfolk. The social and commercial part they have played and continue to play in shaping the county.
- To support such organisations as the NNR Youth Development Club which provides practical railway experience for young people. A significant number of which have subsequently achieved employment in engineering or railways.
- The development, maintenance, and operation of venues in which to achieve these Objects.

Norfolk Railway Foundation has now attained formal CIO Charity status with the Charity Commission and is actively exploring various potential projects in Norfolk.
