Norfolk Railway Foundation is facilitating the development of a new station at Mid-Norfolk Railway’s Wymondham Abbey site. The existing scaffold platform is life expired; a new permanent platform is required. A station building meeting modern visitor requirements yet in a heritage style sympathetic to the location will accompany the platform.
This will complement the ‘new’ Wymondham Church Lane signalbox which was moved to site from Spooner Row in 2022. Subject to funding we hope to have trains using the new platform Easter 2028 with the station building following soon after.
